Sunaina Vallamkonda, Stella Murphy, and Eileen Danaee, all HealthSci ’26, were announced as the newly elected Health Sciences Society (HSS) executive team on Feb. 10.
Running uncontested, Vallamkonda won students’ confidence vote for president, while Murphy was elected vice-president (operations) for the 2024-25 school year. Danaee beat out Maddy Farquhar, HealthSci ’26, for the position of vice-president (university affairs).
Vallamkonda ran on a platform prioritizing student wellness, for planning life post-graduation, and inclusion in the HSS. She previously served as the HSS’s Speaker of the House and is a coxie on the Queen’s rowing team.
HSS students elected their year representatives on the same ballot. Jonathan Tung, HealthSci ’26 will represent online students, and Arani Hiritharan, HealthSci ’27, will represent second-year students. Andy Ganea, HealthSci ’26, was voted in to represent third-year students, and both Luca Manconi and Rohaan Syan, HealthSci ’25, were elected fourth-year representatives.
