
PSAC 901 —including teaching assistants, teaching fellows, research assistants, and post-doctoral students—voted to strike on Feb. 14.
“Overwhelming from hundreds of 901 hip [SIC] gives the bargaining team a strike mandate,” a Facebook post ed Feb. 15 read.
This decision was made following two town halls held Feb. 4 and 7.

In an email statement sent to The Journal, Astrid Hobill, PSAC 901 President, said the vote to strike came as “no surprise”.
“The frustration with Queen’s lack of regard for graduate workers is palpable,” Hobill said.

Other organizations like AMS have previously voiced their for graduate students and their bargaining efforts.
