Men’s volleyball drops pair of results at home
The third-place men’s volleyball team was looking to come out of last weekend with a hard-fought win over the sixth-ranked, defending champion McMaster Marauders and a relatively easier win over the seventh-place Waterloo Warriors. It was not to be—after falling in five sets to the rival Marauders on Friday night, the Gaels dropped a 3-1 decision against Waterloo.
The losses put the 10-4 Queen’s into third place in the OUA behind McMaster and the first-place Western Mustangs. The Gaels will look to get back on track this weekend when they visit Ryerson University on Friday night.

Women’s volleyball wins two tight tests
The second-place women’s volleyball team had a scrappy weekend at home after beating the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees in four sets around the Brock Badgers in five after the Badgers came back from a 2-0 deficit.
Setter Julie Lockwood established the Gaels attack all weekend with 91 assists. Outside hitter Natalie Gray scored 30 kills.
The 9-5 Gaels are on the road this weekend, visiting Ryerson University on Friday night and the University of Toronto on Saturday.
